Neil Glasser

Neil Glasser has been selling clothing & equipment from The North Face since the earth cooled.

Neil started selling North Face and outdoor gear at Fresh Air Experience in the late 70’s in Regina. He was the shop kid that hung around long enough that they put him to work. One of the first items he sold was the prestigious Mountain 25 Tent.

Neil’s love for the outdoors and retail took him west to Calgary and the mountains and rivers as his playground. Hiking, climbing, Mountaineering, skiing, fly-fishing, and many more activities would fill his days off.

Neil has been wearing The North Face since the beginning and has kept a collection of vintage North Face in his “vault”, which he might reference during a sales chat once and a while. Neil is an encyclopedia of knowledge on The North Face brand and other outdoor brands. Shawn Unrau

Shawn joined The Prairie Summit Shop in 2014. He shares his passion for sport and the outdoors with his wife Anna, son Josh, and daughter Emma. When not at work he can often be found loading up his jeep for trips out to The Whiteshell for a day of hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing. His favorite trips have been white water rafting out in BC, zip lining through Wisconsin, bungee jumping out in Alberta, hiking the deserts of Arizona & Nevada, sky diving here in Manitoba, and of course hiking the trails out in Banff. He loves the NEVER STOP EXPLORING attitude of The North Face and loves hearing about all the adventures our customers have, or plan on doing.

Regan Horn

Regan Horn has been selling and promoting The North Face products since 2006 when she opened The Prairie Summit Shop in Regina. Regan has long had a passion for the outdoors and graduated The U of S with a Biology Degree. Regan has worked in retail from Garden Centers to Box store giants so it was fitting to mesh her love for the outdoors with selling North Face products at The Prairie Summit Shop. Regan’s passion for The North Face is evident by her smile and enthusiasm when helping customers learn and buy North Face products in store.

Regan is an accomplished canoe tripper with many trips and expeditions under her belt. She also enjoys back packing, day hiking, and simple afternoon strolls with her kids or family. Come winter-time Regan enjoys XC-skiing, snowshoeing, and is an experienced down hill skier and one of the few that can chase her husband Geoff around the Fernie slopes and keep up. Regan enjoys running and has competed in a few races including ½ marathons. She is an accomplished mountain biker and loves the Fernie trails, even the climbs some days. In between raising her 2 daughters, 7 & 4 years old, Regan operated Lole Regina for a couple years before selling the store. Currently Regan is managing The North Face Regina and operating PrairieSummitShop.com, the newest store to the Prairie Summit Shop Company.

Geoff Horn

Geoff Horn has been selling and promoting adventures in the outdoors since 1996. Long before 96, fun in the outdoors was instilled in Geoff by his family through many camping & tenting trips, recreation boating & paddling, and travel. Geoff partnered with family and opened Fresh Air Experience in Regina in the spring of 96. The store soon became the hub of outdoor activity, lessons, training, and great clothing and gear like The North Face. Over the years Geoff took many courses and certifications and soon began teaching wilderness courses, paddling courses, ski lessons, from the store and for many organizations.

Geoff is a Paddle Canada instructor trainer in Moving Water, Lakewater, and Canoe Tripping, spent many years teaching Wilderness Education Association courses (WEA), set up and taught many XC ski courses & programs in schools all over southern SK. Geoff was a session instructor at the U of R teaching canoeing and skiing, and helped design and create canoe certification standards for Regina & area schools for safe canoe tripping and wilderness trips.

Geoff also spent 10 plus years guiding and instructing for Churchill River Canoe Outfitters. Geoff with his staff and friends we always actively promoting outdoor adventures through many demos, lessons, store trips, and daily outings for the general public. Trips to ski loppets, MTB races, Adventure Races, runs, and trail runs were always on the schedule for Geoff and his colleagues. Summer vacations were always wilderness canoe trips like the Fond Du Lac, The Cree, Clearwater, Foster, Paull or sections of the Churchill, or back packing trips like the Sky Line Trail, Rock Wall or West Coast Trail. Downhill ski trips are mandatory each year in the winter with some Nordic and snowshoeing mixed in for fun. In 2006, Geoff and his wife Regan opened Prairie Summit Shop in Regina, a store dedicated to selling The North Face brand. The store quickly grew and locations were added in Winnipeg & Saskatoon. The Regina store was expanded 3 times to its current location on the corner of Park & Vic.

The North Face recognized the success and dedication of Geoff, Regan, and the staff of the Prairie Summit Shop stores by partnering with them to create branded North Face stores in each of those cities. In the fall of 2012 Geoff left operations at Fresh Air Experience to focus on family life and The North Face Stores. Geoff & Regan have 2 daughters, 9 years and 6, who both enjoy outdoor adventures as much as their parents. The types of trips have changed slightly to be more children friendly, but wilderness canoe trips, day hike’s, biking, running, and skiing are always on the agenda. Geoff can always fit in an adventure into every week, every business trip, or every family vacation. The North Face motto of “Never Stop Exploring” is taken to heart with Geoff and how he lives his life.

Colin Frey

Colin Frey was a part time explorer and adventurer until he quit his job as a transmission mechanic to pursue his passion for the outdoors. In 2007 Colin started the company, Renewed by Nature, and began taking courses and getting certifications. Colin has a wide range of outdoor & wilderness skills from basic survival (think Survivor Man & Alone but for real) to fully guided super comfortable luxury canoe trips. Colin’s unique skill set was immediately in high demand and he is actively teaching courses & guiding for Prairie Valley School Division, Greenall Outdoor School, Fresh Air Experience, Churchill River Canoe Outfitters, J & T First Aid Training, Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, to name a few.

In the fall of 2013 Colin added Polar Bear Tour guide to his list of guiding skills, and works for Lazy Bear Expeditions in Churchill Manitoba. Colin is a big believer in practicing what he preaches for wilderness training and is always up for an adventure with family or friends. Colin has worked with many outdoor professionals and mentors in the outdoors, but most notably, Colin apprenticed under Mors Kochanski and is a Mors acknowledged instructor.

Colin’s work takes him all over but he loves teaching courses at Birch Lake, a special camp he has created for training. Colin makes great use of the parks and areas around Regina giving workshops and teaching courses for various schools, clubs, communities, and Businesses. The Churchill River, north of LaRonge, is his favorite wilderness playground, Colin has been on many canoe trips as a guide and for his own pleasure with his family. Colin’s mission statement for Renewed by Nature is, “I’ve made it my business to be safe in the wilderness”.
