Product warranties will vary depending on brand & manufacturer. The warranty of most brands does NOT cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear & tear, or the natural breakdown of colours or materials over extended time and use. Damage that is not covered under warranty can sometimes be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for shipping & handling.
The North Face has a lifetime warranty, not a lifetime guarantee, and we will be happy to help customers that have purchased their North Face items through our store with any basic repairs such as zippers or stitching. Proof of purchase on your customer account in our store is required. If you purchased your items from a different North Face dealer, or your warranty issue is different then listed above, please go to the North Face website and follow their instructions to submit your claim. Items need to be Freshly washed before they can be sent back for repair or assessment.
Products are covered by a 2-year warranty and proof of purchase in our store is required for us to process a warranty claim.

The North Face® warranty as listed on their website;
The North Face® products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. If a product ever fails due to a manufacturing defect, even after extended use, The North Face will repair the product, without charge, or replace it, at their discretion. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use. Damage not covered under warranty will be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.
The North Face® Footwear is covered by a one-year limited warranty following the date of purchase (proof of purchase necessary) that protects the original owner against manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. Only original materials and workmanship are covered by this policy. Reasonable wear and tear is not included.
An authorization number is required for all warranty claims. To obtain an authorization number, simply email The North Face Canada at firstname.lastname@example.org and The North Face will then reply with specific instructions on a case by case basis. Please include in the email;
- your complete name/address/phone number
- front/back pictures of all tags in the product/underneath tongue of footwear, overall product and a brief description of the problem

All shipping to Warranty must be pre-paid and insured. The North Face® cannot be liable for lost in-bound packages. All items must be freshly laundered prior to be sent in for repair/evaluation. If items are not freshly cleaned, they will be returned to the owner for cleaning.
Only items freshly washed/laundered will be accepted to the warranty dept. Repair partners will NOT accept dirty items (often under provincial or state laws, and sometimes due to only the “dirty odours factor”) and we will NOT launder it for you.
Items must be dropped off at our retail store locations. (Regina, Saskatoon & Winnipeg.)
- Proof of purchase is required. If the item was purchased at a Prairie Summit Shop on your customer account there is no charge for shipping the item back.
- If the item was purchased elsewhere there is a $20 fee to cover the shipping & handling. This fee must be collected before sending the item for warranty. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Some warranty items may require Prairie Summit Shop to send back to the manufacturer for “warranty inspection & assessment”.There is NOT a guarantee the item WILL be covered under warranty for repair or replacement.
If the item cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced, please understand that it is the responsibility of the Brand, and not our store to replace the item. This process can take time and the replacement item might not be the same as the original item.
