Schedule : (must attend all 3 days, 100% attendance)

March 27th: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

March 28th: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

March 29th: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

About the course

This course is taught both in the classroom and outdoors for various first aid scenarios. Please plan to bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks as there is no time to leave during the course. Please dress appropriately for the weather including water-proof outerwear, multiple layers, and good hand & headwear. You are also welcome to bring a hiking pack or daypack that you regularly travel outdoors with. 

Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid that covers material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. Course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training. Suitable for those who work or live in remote locations or who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts.


100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam

3-year certification in Wilderness & Remote First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED

8–10 hours; includes CPR Level C

About the Instructor

Colin Frey is Wilderness First Aid Instrcutor, a Advanced Lake Water Instructor Trainer, Canoe Tripping Advanced Instructor,  Bushcraft expert, and overall amazing outdoorsman. Colin is an active member of the Pense Volunteer Fire Department.
